I have spent 28 years, or 10,227 days of life, on this earth. The time we have here is so short, and for many of us, it is incomprehensibly short. Infants who survive for merely a few days, teens with cancer, adults with debilitating diseases -- we are immensely fragile. Today, my 10,228th day of life, I feel grateful beyond measure for waking up this morning. Tomorrow isn’t a guarantee for anyone. I haven’t always been the best version of myself, I’ve made mistakes & I’ve been broken. I’ve settled, sold myself short, given up, and started over more times than I can count. But I wouldn’t be the same person without those moments. You wouldn’t be the same person without those moments in your life. My birthday wish is that you stop allowing the negative circumstances in your life to overshadow the blessing of being alive. Your life matters. You matter.
